2. Three members of a committee [John Norris, David Some, Thomas Cartwright] representing the church at Creaton, Northamptonshire, to Philip Doddridge, Northampton, 6 May 1736.1

 

Revernd & Dear Sr

        Our good Friend Mr [Abraham] Chambers being dead, we desire you’d use your Interest with the Presbytian [sic] Fund to continue the usual Exhibition to Creaton in favour of Mr Wilkinson who is an ingenious Serious Man, a good Preacher, well approved of by the Ministers, very acceptable to the People & likely to support the Interest there.

Mr Chambers was buryed last Monday & Mr Floyd ordaind this Day.
