Revd & Dear Sir
My Friend & Pupil Mr Wilkinson who presents you wh this is come to supply Mr Tozers Place during his absence & you wd be more sensible of ye Merit of it if you knew how pretty a wife he has left behind him on ye Occasion. I flatter my self wh the Hope of following him in about a Month & impatiently do I long for ye Time. The Necessity of Affairs here at home deprives me of the pleasre of bringing my wife wh me on a Journey wch of all in ye world she seems most to desire but she joins all ye tenders of most respectful & affectionate Service with more to you dear Sir & that charming Daughter of yours whom I dare say she thinks of all her Sex to lodge in the next Closet to her own in my Heart but she likes her Neighbour exceeding well & only wishes she were yet nearer. I will not dear Sir enlarge hoping so soon to see you but conclude (as Mr Wilkinson waits) wth most earnest prayers that I may find you the divine Goodness & able to aid my Devotions as formerly as well as able to give me your highly esteemed advice on several Cases wh will of course occur when we meet. Make I beseech you my best Compliments acceptable to dear Miss Scott & believe me to be
