Another, from 30 December 1770 [Will love & Mercy both combine]

Will love & Mercy both combine

To save my soul from Hell

The Praise O God of grace be thine

Whilst I thy goodness tell

And will the Lord the Almighty God

Permit my humble claim

Prostrate I view thy gentle Rod

And triumph in thy Name

Wilt thou array’d in blissful Light

Stoop to behold a sinner mourn

When wrap’d in shades of deepest night

Trembling for sin to thee return

Allmighty love descend & dwell

On my bewilderd Soul

My pardon my forgiveness seal

My Rebel powers controul
